How to make a pizza with a pizza stone on your barbecue:
To make a tasty pizza, heat the BBQ to approximately 250°C. Place the stone in the barbecue from the start so that it can heat evenly. This prevents the stone from cracking. To prevent the base from burning, it is best to place the pizza stone on a platesetter. Sprinkle the stone with some flour or polenta to prevent sticking. As soon as the barbecue is at the right temperature, the pizza can be placed on the stone. The easiest way to do this is with a pizza peel. With the lid closed, the pizza is ready within 5 to 10 minutes.

Maintenance of a pizza stone:
A pizza stone requires almost no maintenance, just wipe it clean with a dry cloth after use and scrape off the caked-on ingredients. Absolutely do not wash the stone with water, the water will soak into the stone, causing it to break the next time you use it.
